All Ireland Polo Club plays host to the Embassy of Argentina’s National Day
Minister Nicolas Francisco Vidal, Deputy Head of Mission for the Embassy of
Argentina in Ireland and Her Excellency Ana Laura Cachaza welcomed more than
a hundred from the diplomatic corps to the National Day at the All Ireland Polo
Club, Dublin Ireland
Ireland and Argentina have long shared a bond in polo, welcoming professionals in the sport to this country while the Celtic Ladies Team took part in 2021 at the Argentine Open in Buenos Aires. Among diplomats attending the National Day of Argentina, celebrating 214 years of independence from Spain was Giovanni Buttigieg, Ambassador of Malta, the inspiration behind the Ireland v Malta tournament at Malta Polo Club last April.

enthusiasm for polo was made clear when he inspired the Ireland v Malta
Tournament last April at Malta Polo Club, the Maltese team besting Ireland on a
scoreline of 6-1.
The All Ireland Polo Club has become home to National Day celebrations, the diplomatic community saving the date up to six months before the annual event.
